Steps to prepare soil type map in ArcGIS

1. Download the world soil classification map in shapefile format from the FAO soils portal.
2. Open ArcGIS.
3. Import the world soil map shapefile into the ArcMap platform.
4. Click on the world soil map layer, go to Properties, then Symbology, and then Categories. Select the Value Field, choose the region, and add values to display various soil types in the legend.
5. Extract the soil classification map for Nepal or any location by checking the country list in the attribute table.
6. Export the Nepal soil classification shapefile and save it as an export file.
7. Create a layout map of the soil map.
